Roundtable: The National Conference on Citizenship (NCoC) is a congressionally chartered organization which works to strengthen civic life in America. NCoC collaborates with partners across the country to take a data-driven approach to measuring, documenting, and strengthening civic health. Building upon this strong foundation of collaborative partnerships, NCoC is focusing on engaging new partners in this work who are focused on issues such as community and economic development, equity, workforce development, youth development, public safety, health and wellness, and community renewal, among others. Current research demonstrates the links between civic health and personal health and wellness, access to opportunity, functional democracy, and community vitality. We propose a roundtable conversation that would share examples of successful cross-sector civic renewal efforts. It would also cover the following types of themes: What does civic renewal mean to you? What issues of concern represent the highest priority in your community? What stakeholders are currently engaged in civic renewal and who is missing that represent these issues? Who needs to be at the table? How do we ensure mutual benefit? How do we build upon current data, networks, and experiences to realize civic renewal?
